Deputies locate an unresponsive man in a car armed with an assault rifle and in possession of narcotics

INCIDENT: Possession of a Controlled Substance and Loaded Firearm
LOCATION: Rio Mesa Drive and Rio Vista Drive in Big River, California
SUSPECT: Skylar Martinez, 25 year old resident of Parker, Arizona
SUMMARY:
On July 16, 2019 at 2:50 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station responded to the intersection of Rio Mesa Drive and Rio Vista Drive in Big River for a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle armed with an assault type rifle. The suspect, Skylar Martinez was contacted and arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm. Martinez was booked into the Needles jail with bail set at $50,000.
