Pedestrian struck by vehicle on 7/12/19 in 9600 block of Old Redwood Highway
On Friday, July 12th, at approximately 5:20 PM, Windsor PD deputies, rescue personnel from the Windsor Fire Department and Bell’s Ambulance responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision in the 9600 block of Old Redwood Highway.
Traffic investigators conducted an investigation and determined a blue Toyota Tacoma was turning southbound out of a business parking lot onto Old Redwood Highway, when the driver struck a 69-year old male from Windsor who was crossing the roadway.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the Tacoma, a 20-year old Santa Rosa resident, remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Speed and alcohol/drugs are not considered a factor.
