Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the below pictured male suspect in a carjacking that occurred on Sunday, July 7, 2019.

A man was carjacked by three suspects, two males and a female, while driving a 4-door 2010 Pontiac Vide in the area of Cypress Street near South 20th Street. The victim was struck by one of the suspects with a silver handgun and one of the male suspects was captured by surveillance cameras escorting the victim to withdrawal money from his account at an ATM.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, we seek the public’s help in quickly identifying him so that he can be removed from our streets.
