Warrant Arrest Location: Area of Passetta Drive and William Drive

A male subject was known to have a $10,000 active arrest warrant for narcotics violations. A patrol officer located him near the rail road tracks on the 2200 block of Passetta Drive. The subject was contacted and arrested.

Warrant Arrest Location: 2500 Block of Arroyo Drive

Officers were looking for a female subject with a $50,000 arrest warrant for auto theft and identity theft. They located her on the 2500 block of Arroyo Drive. She was arrested.

Battery Location: 3100 Block of Belick Street

Officers were dispatched to a business on the 3100 block of Belick Street regarding a disturbance. A former employee attempted to force his way into the business and pushed the business owner several times. The former employee was intoxicated. He was arrested for battery, trespassing and public drunkenness.

Weapons Location: 2800 Block of Warburton Avenue

An officer performed a traffic stop. A Records check revealed the driver had an expired driver’s license and was on active probation. The officer searched the vehicle and located brass knuckles. The driver was arrested for possession of brass knuckles and placed on a probation hold.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon Location: 4701 Great America Parkway

The Santa Clara Police Department is asking for the public’s help for information related to a shooting that occurred on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at about 9:40 p.m. at 4701 Great America Parkway, which is the California’s Great America Theme Park.

A fight involving several individuals from two separate groups occurred outside the park, in the area leading up to the metal detectors at the entrance of the park. At one point, one member of a group fired one shot from a handgun. One victim was struck on the arm. The bullet did not break the victim’s skin. The victim was treated on site for her minor injuries. The unidentified suspect fled the scene. The suspect and the gun are outstanding.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon Location: 1500 Block of Washington Street

Officers were dispatched to a fight on the 1500 block of Washington Street. Officers were told one of the subjects was armed with a handgun. Officers contacted both involved subjects and interviewed witnesses. Officers learned the incident involved two neighbors. Subject #1 knocked on the victim’s door and demanded the victim exit the apartment. The victim exited his residence holding a BB gun at his side. The subject rushed towards the victim swinging his fists and the victim shot the suspect with the BB gun. The subject retreated to his apartment and returned with a hockey stick and struck the victim with it. The victim was stuck on his head, back and sides of his body. The victim suffered lacerations to his head. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment due to his injuries. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon and for two unrelated arrest warrants.

Weapons Location: 4800 Block of Patrick Henry Drive

Officers stopped a vehicle leaving the parking lot of an abandoned building at an unusual hour. The passenger in the vehicle gave a false name because she thought she might have warrants for her arrest. Officers were able to identify the subject and learned she was a convicted felon. The subject had a stun gun on her person. The subject was arrested for being a felon in possession of a stun gun.
