Southern California Edison Emergency Work starting today. 
In response to the power outage occurring earlier this week, Southern California Edison installed temporary power cables along the east side of Rancho Palmeras Road north of Painted Desert Drive.
Beginning today, July 12 through Monday, July 15, Edison’s contractor is installing the permanent cable repair. The work consists of trenching in the northbound lane to install two new power cable conduits. Traffic control will be in place with two-way traffic available on Rancho Palmeras Road.
