Single Vehicle Crash Sends 1 to Hospital

Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports that his office investigated a personal injury crash in the area of Birch and US-12 at approximately 1730 hours. Porter TWP, County of Cass, State of Michigan. 32 year old from Mottville, Christopher Wayne Alwine 03/01/1987, was traveling eastbound on US-12 when he rear ended Casey Michael Rumsey 10/12/1987 from Elkhart as he was turning left on to Birch St from US-12. Alwine was treated for his injuries by SEPSA Ambulance and transported to Elkhart General Hospital. This crash remains under investigation.
