Flood Advisory for Southern Tarrant County until 8:45pm.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A
* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MINOR FLOODING IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS FOR...
  SOUTHERN TARRANT COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS...
* UNTIL 8:45 PM CDT.

* AT 650 PM CDT, DOPPLER RADAR AND RAIN GAUGES INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED TO PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN TARRANT COUNTY, INCLUDING BENBROOK AND PARTS OF FORT WORTH.
. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING. AREAS THAT ARE LOW LYING OR USUALLY EXPERIENCE POOR DRAINAGE ARE MOST LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE FLOODING. THIS MEANS SOME LOW WATER CROSSINGS MAY BECOME IMPASSABLE. 

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  FORT WORTH, BURLESON, BENBROOK,  WHITE SETTLEMENT, CROWLEY,  FOREST HILL, KENNEDALE, EVERMAN, RENDON, EDGECLIFF VILLAGE, WESTWORTH VILLAGE, EDGECLIFF AND WESTOVER HILLS. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND, DON'T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS, URBAN AREAS, HIGHWAYS, STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
