The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Denton County in north central Texas... Southern Cooke County in north central Texas...

* Until 600 PM CDT.

* At 457 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of Lindsay, or 8 miles southwest of Gainesville, moving south at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Plano, Carrollton, Frisco, Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Coppell, The Colony, Corinth, Gainesville, Highland Village, Lake Dallas, Sanger, Lake Lewisville, Little Elm, Krum, Pilot Point, Argyle and Hickory Creek.

* AFFECTED AREAS: COOKE, TX ... DENTON, TX

Instructions:

For your protection get inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows. If on or near Lake Lewisville or Lake Ray Roberts, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm. High winds and waves can capsize boats.
