Exit 38 Ramp to be Closed 07/10 and 07/11 
The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) has announced a temporary overnight closure and detour of Route 80 eastbound Exit 38 in Denville.
The ramp will be closed both tonight (07/10) and tomorrow night (07/11) for milling and paving work between 10pm and 6am.
The following signed detour will be in place:
I-80 eastbound detour
• Motorists wishing to take Exit 38 for Route 46 eastbound will be directed to take Exit 42C for Route 202 north towards Parsippany
• Merge onto Route 202 and stay in the right lane
• Follow signs for the ramp onto I-80 westbound
• Take Exit 39 towards Route 46 eastbound
This construction is part of a $20 million state-funded project bridge maintenance and repair project to extend the life of multiple spans throughout northern New Jersey.
Variable Message Signs will provide advance notification to motorists of traffic pattern changes associated with the work. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
