Attempted Murder Suspect Kills Himself After Being Surrounded By Sheriff Victor Hill’s Elite Fugitive Squad
Last night in an apartment located on 100 Morrow Road a child dialed 911 stating that he had locked himself in a room because his father was fighting his mother. The child also told 911 operators that he had heard gunshots.
Clayton County Police responded to the scene and found a female victim shot 3 times in the face, head, and stomach area of her body. Clayton County Police Detectives found that the shooting suspect who they identified as Orlando Rodriguez Otero shot his wife after an argument and left the scene saying that she would be alright after shooting her. Otero then made a live social media post confessing to shooting his wife over another man.
Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill ordered in his elite Fugitive Squad to hunt for Otero until he was found, and Fugitives Investigators did so throughout the night. Around 5am this morning, Fugitive Investigators found Orteo’s vehicle in Atlanta abandoned. Sheriff Victor Hill called in a bloodhound to lock in on a scent from the passenger seat in order to hunt exactly where Ortero went.
Fugitive Investigators and the bloodhound (“Tracker”) caught up with Otero at the corner of North Ave. and Griffin St. There Otero placed a hand gun to his head and shot himself dying shortly thereafter.
Otero’s wife is in critical condition fighting for her life.
