Wilmington Police drug investigations lead to three arrests

A Wilmington Police drug investigation has resulted in three arrests.
 
On July 6 at approximately 4:24 a.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division were in the 600 block of West Street when they observed 29-year-old Derrick Rice, of Newark, who was acting suspiciously. Police approached and determined that Rice was wanted on two outstanding charges. He was taken into custody without incident and processed on those charges.
 
Police also observed 42-year-old John Martin and 46-year-old Titus Rodriguez, who were also acting suspiciously. Further investigation determined that Rodriguez was wanted on two charges, and he was taken into custody without incident and processed on those charges.
 
Martin, who was also wanted on an outstanding charge, was found to be in possession of marijuana and a bag of counterfeit crack cocaine. He was taken into custody and has been charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a counterfeit substance and criminal impersonation. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings.
