Lady's Island accident caused downed power lines. Sams Point Rd at John Calhoun/Royal Pines shut down for a few hours 
Shortly after 5:00 today, a traffic accident that occurred on Sams Point Road, Lady's Island caused down power lines. Dominion Energy and Beaufort/Jasper Water Sewer Authority are on scene making the necessary repairs. Currently, Sams Point Road in the area of John Calhoun Street and Royal Pines Boulevard is shut down, but is expected to re-open between 8:00 and 9:00 tonight. Thank you for your patience.
