Wilmington Police make arrest in firearm, aggravated menacing investigation:
Wilmington Police have arrested a 31-year-old man and recovered a firearm following an aggravated menacing incident.
On July 6 at approximately 3:37 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of 5th and Bancroft Parkway in reference after receiving calls about a man armed with a firearm. Patrol officers and members of the Street Crimes Unit responded and learned that an individual had come to a man’s house in reference to a dispute over $10. The individual then reportedly brandished a silver handgun and pointed it at the victim in a threatening manner.
Police were able to locate the armed suspect at a residence, where he was taken into custody without incident. Officers also recovered a loaded silver handgun.
Police have arrested and charged 31-year-old Anthony Gray with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Aggravated Menacing
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $46,000 cash-only bail.
