City of Kingsville Storm Brush Cleanup Final Phase July 8, 2019

City of Kingsville Storm Brush Cleanup Final Phase
July 8, 2019
Kingsville, TX – The city of Kingsville Public works department has been working diligently to remove brush left behind because of strong storms June 6th that caused tree damage across the region.  To date, crews have collected an estimated 3,742 tons of brush from residential streets and from the ‘Trash Off’ location at 6th Street and Avenue B.
In the days immediately following the storm, our crews had significant assistance from the City of Corpus Christi and the City of Falfurrias.  Both communities’ crews helped collect brush from neighborhoods and transport brush away from the ‘Trash Off’ location for disposal.  Kingsville city crews have spent the last four weeks continuing the clean-up.
This week marks the final phase of the clean-up process.  Residents can continue to bring brush to the ‘Trash Off’ location, free of cost, through Friday, July 12th.  Hours of operation at the ‘Trash Off’ location are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Alternatively, residents can separate any remaining debris and brush and place their brush in front of their homes and away from any fixed objects for pick up.  Sanitation crews will sweep the city according to the regularly scheduled brush pick up schedule, which can be found here.  To find out what zone your home is located in, click here.
Any residents who miss the deadline for brush drop off or who have additional debris to dispose of can bring up to 300 pounds of debris per day to the City of Kingsville landfill, located at 348 E. County Road 2130, at no cost.
