                Lt. Burlin Ballew of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Gabryiel Eben Byrd, 18, address listed as Lester Hollifield Road in Marion, with possession of marijuana.
                Ballew assisted state probation/parole officers with a search at Byrd’s residence on Friday, June 7. Byrd is on probation and, therefore, subject to warrantless searches.
                Authorities seized eight marijuana plants from Byrd’s property.
