Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 07/06/2019 at approximately 1815 hours his office was called to investigate a boating accident on Diamond Lake in Lagrange Township, Cass County Michigan. Michael Molnar, 34 of Grainger, Indiana was pulling a tube to the back of the boat when a passenger bumped the throttle into gear. Molnar fell from the back of the boat and was struck by the propeller. Molnar was treated on scene for multiple lacerations to his right side. Molnar was then airlifted to Memorial South Bend for his injuries.
Cass County Marine deputies were assisted by Memorial Med Flight, Cass Central Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance.
