Traffic stop leads to the arrest of Oakland City woman. 
On July 6, 2019, at 7:03 p.m. Deputy Loren Barchett conducted a traffic stop on State Road 64 near Interstate 69 on a Green 1998 Ford Contour for having expired license plates. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Barchett identified the driver as 24 year old Lacy Hill of Oakland City. During the roadside investigation Ms. Hill admitted to Deputy Barchett that she did not have an operator’s license. Upon confirming Ms. Hill’s status with the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles Ms. Hill was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Hill was charged with Operating a Vehicle Without Ever Receiving a Valid License. She has since posted a $450 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
