Tornado Warning
Tornado Warning in effect until 4:45. GET IN, GET DOWN, COVER UP. Take shelter ASAP in a basement or interior room with few or no windows on the lowest level of your home.
- Stay informed. Tune in to local news/weather radio frequently for weather updates. Remember to GET IN, GET DOWN, COVER UP.
- If you are in a vehicle/mobile home, seek stronger shelter.
- If you are outside, seek shelter. Lie flat in a ditch. Cover your head with your hands. Do not get under an overpass/bridge. Never attempt to outrun a tornado.
At 355 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Chester, or 11 miles northeast of Wilmington,
moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Philadelphia, Camden, Gloucester City, Chester, Deptford, West
Deptford, Glassboro, Bellmawr, Yeadon, Woodbury, Pitman, Folcroft,
Swarthmore, Paulsboro, Westville, Woodbury Heights, National Park,
East Lansdowne, Swedesboro and Brooklawn.
People attending PES Explosion Response and Recovery should seek safe
shelter immediately!
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Mount Holly NJ.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
