Deputy Robert Watson of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged David Scott Johnson, 46, address listed as Johnson Drive in Nebo, with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
                Johnson was also served with outstanding warrants for simple assault and assault with a deadly weapon.
                On the afternoon of Thursday, June 6, Watson was in the area of Harmony Grove Road, when he spotted a Dodge truck being driven by Johnson. The deputy knew Johnson had outstanding warrants against him and stopped the vehicle.
                Watson saw drug paraphernalia in plain sight in the truck. A subsequent search also turned up 1.44 grams of methamphetamine.
