6.4 Magnitude Earthquake 
A 6.4 magnitude earthquake was centered near Searles Valley, CA. The shaking was felt throughout the South Bay. Be prepared for any aftershocks. Call 911 for emergencies only. MBPD and MBFD are working together to check all areas of the City for damage. Please call (310) 802-5140 to report any City damage. This is a good reminder to have an earthquake kit ready and have a plan to contact family or friends out of state to let them know you are ok or if you need help.
