Northeastern Marion County in central Kansas...
* Until 815 PM CDT Thursday.
* At 820 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to two inches of rain have
already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Marion, Cottonwood Falls, Strong City, Florence, Lincolnville,
Ramona, Bazaar, Lost Springs, Elmdale, Cedar Point, Hymer, Marion
Lake, Tallgrass Prairie, Pilsen, Saffordville and Tallgrass Prairie
Preserve.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 are possible in the warned
area.
This includes Interstate 35 between Mile Markers 106 and 116.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route
