June 20, 2019
  • An Assault with a Deadly Weapon was reported at 2120 Mountain Avenue (Lena Valenzuela Park). Four thirteen-year-old juveniles were sitting on the benches when they were approached by a 16-17 year old male, asking if they wanted to buy some weed. When the victim stated they were not interested, the suspect asked him if he “Banged.”  When the victim said he didn’t, the suspect punched him in the face, then pulled a switchblade out and pointed it at the victim’s face. The suspect asked the victim’s friends if they wanted to make $3,000 and kill the victim. When the victim’s friends declined, the suspect told the victim he was lucky, and fled on a bicycle. The victim did not sustain any injuries and the investigation is on-going.

June 21, 2019
  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest:  The victim was driving southbound Mountain Avenue towards Meridian, when he noticed his ex-girlfriend following him. Suddenly, the ex-girlfriend started ramming the victim’s vehicle. As the victim tried to get away, the suspect continued ramming his vehicle.
Seeing that the suspect had two children in her car with her, the
victim decided to pull over before the suspect injured the children.             Once he pulled over, the suspect fled. A short time later, deputies
contacted the suspect and detained her pending an assault
           investigation.

After further investigation, the suspect admitted to ramming her
ex- boyfriend's car and was arrested for assault with a deadly
weapon. Due to the fact she had children in the vehicle and the
time of the incident, she was additionally charged with child
endangerment. Neither party, nor the children were injured as a
           result of the incident.
