                Deputy Chris Byrd of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Joshua Wayne Henline, 31, address listed as Spruce Pine, with trafficking in methamphetamine, driving while license revoked, resisting a public officer and possession of drug paraphernalia.
                Byrd also charged Heather Nichole Taylor, 37, address listed as Summerset Park in Old Fort, with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
                Henline and Taylor fled from a license checkpoint on West Tate Street at 12:28 a.m. on Saturday, June 29. Byrd followed them and found their 1994 Mercury at a residence on Old Highway 10 West. Both suspects had run from the vehicle. After a short search, deputies located the pair nearby.
                Inside the Mercury and on the suspects, deputies found 32.7 grams of methamphetamine and $717.37 in currency.
