Advisory

The Muhlenberg Police Dept. is warning of a suspicious male following children from school.

The Muhlenberg Police Department is warning residents to be aware of a male possibly following children home from school. On January 4, 2010, the Police Department received two complaints of a heavy set black male with a "chubby face" following students after school.

In the first incicdent in Riverview Park, a student who got off the school bus was being followed by a heavy set black male. The man turned away when the student used his cell phone to call a parent. The incident happened in the Rosewood Rd., Acacia Ave, Floret Ave. area of Riverview Park.

The second incident occurred in the area of Water St. and 8th Ave. in the South Temple area. A student was walking home from school when the student noticed a four door, aqua or teal green sedan with tinted windows following her slowly. The aquacolored vehicle, possibly a Honda Civic or Accord, passed the student slowly three times before pulling up next to the student and saying "What's up?" The student ignored the person and went home. The student saw the vehicle again driving around the block before arriving home. The subject was described as a heavy set black male with a chubby face.
