06/06/2019 *Unlawful Driving Away of an Automobile (Auto Theft)
75 Block of Barker – The victim reported that she last saw her 2003 Toyota Echo vehicle bearing a California plate on May 31 and discovered it missing June 1. There were no suspects or witnesses identified.

06/07/2019 *Destruction of Mailboxes
Wildwood Sub- Three homeowners reported that they discovered their mailboxes damaged. The investigation revealed that the incident involved a crash with no malicious intent– and the owner of the striking vehicle agreed to make restitution for the damages. No further action was desired.

06/08/2019 *Arrest -Operating while Intoxicated
U.S 23 & 8 Mile Rd – Officers observed a traffic violation (unsafe driving). Officers made a traffic stop of the vehicle and determined that the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested, for OWI 2nd Offense, the vehicle did not have insurance and it was impounded. Blood was drawn upon consent of the driver. Officers are awaiting lab results to be forwarded for prosecutors review.

06/09/2019 *Arrest –Operating while Intoxicated 3rd Offense, Leaving the scene of a Crash and Driving while License Suspended
500 Block of East Shore – Officers responded to a call of a crash with the driver leaving the scene. Officers located the driver and determined that alcohol was involved. The driver was transported to the hospital where he refused medical treatment. A search warrant was obtained for the driver’s blood, which was sent to the lab to determine the driver’s Blood Alcohol Content. Charges will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

06/12/2019 *Larceny from Auto
9000 Block of Lincoln- On June 6, a resident returned home at 11:20 pm to discover someone had entered her unlocked vehicle and removed a backpack. No suspects or witnesses have been identified.

06/15/2019 *Possible Peeping Tom
Westbrook Apts- Officers responded and met with a caller who stated that she believe a W/M/50 with Brown Hair wearing a baseball cap and winter jacket, was looking in her windows. The caller stated this was the second night she saw the subject. Officers were unable to locate the subject. **Anyone who sees this subject or has information regarding the subject, is asked to call the Northfield Twp Police.

06/23/2019 *Assault & Battery
High School Pool Area - Officers responded to a report that the life guard had just been assaulted. The investigation revealed that after having trouble with a young child and discussing the behavior with the child, the lifeguard was pushed into the pool by an unknown adult male. The suspect has been identified and the case has been sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.

06/24/2019 *Arrest – OWI (Operating While Intoxicated) – Leaving the Scene of an Accident
8 Mile & Lemen- Officers responded to assist Green Oak who were attempting to stop a fleeing vehicle. After stopping the vehicle and determining the driver was intoxicated; the driver was arrested. The case has been sent to the prosecutor’s office for charges.

06/29/2019 *Arrest – OWI- Crash
Northfield Estates- Officers responded to a crash of a parked vehicle and determined the driver of the striking vehicle was intoxicated. The driver was arrested, transported to the hospital for a blood draw and the findings of the blood draw will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office awaiting specific charges.

06/29/2019 *Arrest – Driving on Suspended License/ OWI
Main St & 6 Mile-An Officer observed a traffic violation (unsafe driving). Upon a traffic stop, the officer spoke with the driver and it was determined that he appeared intoxicated and was driving on a suspended license. After attempting the standard field sobriety tasks, the subject was arrested and transported to St Joes for a blood draw to determine his blood alcohol content. The results will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for charges.
