On June 28^th, 2019, around 4:10 p.m. Novato Police Officers responded to the area of Seventh St. and Marion Ave. on a report of a robbery. On their arrival, officers contacted two female juvenile victims. The victims told police officers that their cellphones and a wallet were stolen from them by a Hispanic male and Black male adult who were approximately 20 years old. The suspects both wore dark colored hooded sweatshirts and dark colored pants during the robbery.

The two female victims were walking in the area when they were approached by the suspects who were carrying black handguns. One suspect reportedly pointed a handgun at the victims, pushed her to the ground, and demanded their cellphones and wallet. The suspects fled the scene, on foot, towards Carmel Drive. One victim had minor injuries, not requiring immediate medical treatment, as a result of the robbery. About 20 minutes later, a debit card taken during the robbery was used at a business in Larkspur.

A similar incident was reported to Novato Police on June 26^th, 2019, around 6:30 pm. A female juvenile reported that two suspects, described as Hispanic or Black males in their 20’s, stole her cellular phone, near Cambridge St. and Buchanan St. The victim was not injured during the incident.  At this point of the investigations, we cannot conclude the incidents are related nor conclude that the same suspects are responsible for the incidents.

Novato Police Department Detectives are following up with leads on these cases. We are appreciative of the help of several neighbors who have provided surveillance recordings of the suspects. The suspects are believed to have travelled in the areas of Vallejo Avenue, Marion Avenue, Seventh Street, and Carmel Drive. We are asking for the public's assistance in providing additional surveillance recordings from this neighborhood, during the time of the robbery.
