Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Severe Thunderstorm Warning in effect until 4:45 PM.  High winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning possible.  Seek shelter.
 
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 4:45 PM EDT. 
 
* At 352 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Spring Mount to near Coatesville, moving southeast at 45 mph. 

Hazard...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. 

Source...Public. Several reports of wind damage and hail have been received from Berks and Chester Counties in association with these storms. 

Impact...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. 

Precautionary/preparedness actions... 

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
