David Ross was stopped for traffic violations and arrested for felon in possession of a firearm & a traffic warrant

LOCATION: E. Broadway/ Smith Road, Needles
SUSPECT: David Ross 46 year old, transient from Arizona
SUMMARY:
On June 26, 2019 at 1:04 p.m. David Ross was driving an unregistered motorcycle on the city street without a helmet and was stopped for the traffic violations. During that contact, Ross was found to have an outstanding traffic warrant for driving without a license found to be carrying a firearm concealed in a pouch. That weapon was recovered and found to be functional. A record check revealed Ross had a prior felony conviction, making possession of the firearm a felony.
Ross was booked into the Colorado River Jail for PC30305(a), felon in possession of a firearm, with a bail amount of $50,000.00. Additionally, he was booked for the traffic warrant that had a bail amount of $25,000.00.
