Red Flag Warning until 08:00PM

..RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON THROUGH 8 PM FRIDAY FOR GUSTY WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 490 IN SOUTHEAST UTAH BELOW 5000 FEET AND FIRE WEATHER ZONE 290 IN SOUTHWEST COLORADO... .Gusty southwest winds will continue this afternoon and early this evening while relative humidities drop to 15 percent or lower. Gusty winds and low relative humidity combined with dry fuels are expected to result in critical fire weather conditions for portions of east-central Utah and southwest Colorado. Similar conditions are expected to develop Friday afternoon and evening but the coverage will be confined to portions of east-central Utah and southwest Colorado.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 292 North Fork Forecast Area.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for the rapid ignition, growth, and spread of fires through this evening. Agricultural burning is strongly discouraged.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTH FORK ... SOUTHWEST COLORADO LOWER FORECAST AREA
