..RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON THURSDAY THROUGH 8 PM FRIDAY FOR GUSTY WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITIES AND DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONE 490 IN SOUTHEAST UTAH BELOW 5000 FEET...FIRE WEATHER ZONE 203 IN WEST CENTRAL COLORADO BELOW 6500 FEET AND FIRE WEATHER ZONES 290, 292 AND 207 IN SOUTHWEST COLORADO... .Gusty winds will occur each afternoon from Wednesday through Friday while relative humidities will drop to 15 percent or lower. Dry fuels are also in place, so critical fire weather conditions may be met. Conditions will recover overnight, only to occur again the next afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from noon Thursday to 8 PM MDT Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area, Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 292 North Fork Forecast Area.

* WINDS...South 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...9 to 14 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for the rapid ignition, growth, and spread of fires through Friday evening. Agricultural burning is strongly discouraged.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTH FORK ... SOUTHWEST COLORADO LOWER FORECAST AREA ... PARADOX VALLEY
