Fire Weather Watch until 08:00PM Friday

Gusty winds will occur each afternoon from Wednesday through Friday while relative humidities will drop to 15% of lower. Dry fuels are also in place so critical fire weather conditions may be met. Conditions will recover overnight only to occur again the next afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Wednesday afternoon through Friday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA... In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 292 North Fork Forecast Area.

* WINDS...South 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...If these conditions develop, rapid rates of fire growth and spread are possible.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTH FORK ... SOUTHWEST COLORADO LOWER FORECAST AREA ... PARADOX VALLEY
