4th Offense OWI Arrest after Hit and Run Crash

On 06-23-2019 at 1:07 pm officers from The Janesville Police Department were dispatched to the area of Glen Street and N. Garfield Street for a hit and run crash. Dispatch informed officers one vehicle struck a parked vehicle and the driver ran away from the crash. The suspect driver was being chased by a citizen from the neighborhood.

Officers arrived at E. Centerway Street. and N. Garfield Street where two citizens were detaining the suspected driver. Shannon R. Patterson was taken into custody and transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital for non-life threating injuries sustained in the crash. He appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Suspected illegal drugs were found in the vehicle Patterson had been driving.
