Marcos Silva-Vargas of Highland is arrested for Lewd Acts with a Child

SUSPECT: Marcos Silva-Vargas, age 47, Highland resident

SUMMARY:
On Friday, June 21st, at approximately 8:05 pm, deputies from the Highland Police Department began a Child Molestation investigation. The suspect was identified as Marcos Vargas. Vargas was interviewed by deputies and later arrested without incident. The sexual encounters took place at three locations frequented by the suspect and victim.
Vargas was booked into the West Valley Detention Center for Lewd Acts with a Child. His bail is set at $150,000 and he is scheduled for arraignment on June 25th in Superior Court in San Bernardino.
