Police Seek the public's help in identifying robbery suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the below pictured male suspect in a robbery that occurred on Monday, June 10, 2019.

A woman making an ATM deposit at Valley National Bank, located at 167 Bloomfield Avenue, was robbed by a male who approached her from behind and demanded her cash. The suspect stole $2,000.00 before fleeing west on Bloomfield Avenue. He is described as having a medium build, dark brown complexion, mustache and beard. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black sunglasses and speaks with a Spanish accent.

While police are actively searching for this suspect, we seek the public’s help in quickly identifying him so that he can be removed from our streets.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about this suspect to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
