At approximately 2:00 this morning, 20-year-old Dequarious Major turned himself in to Sheriff's Office deputies in Beaufort. Major was arrested on warrants for three county of Attempted Murder and one count of Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime. Major was transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center and incarcerated without incident.

Major is the third subject arrested in connection with the June 3, 2019 shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Lady's Island Circle K, which left one man dead and another man wounded. The investigation into the Circle K shooting is ongoing. Anyone who may have witnessed the shooting, or who has information on any of the subjects involved, is encouraged to contated Staff Sergeant Todd Duncan at 843-255-3418 or Crimestoppers of the Lowcountry at 843-554-1111 if wishing to remain anonymous and for possible reward.
