The 16-hour training was youth centered and focused on topics including:

▪ De-escalation Skills and Tactics
▪ Adolescent Brain Development
▪ Trauma-informed Response

A segment of Janesville Police Department officers from all divisions and ranks attended the 2-day training. Some of the training included role-play scenarios with participating youth from Project 16:49.
