Flash Flood Watch until 08:00AM Saturday

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of south central Indiana, southwest Indiana, and west central Indiana, including the following areas, in south central Indiana, Brown, Jackson, Lawrence, and Monroe. In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, and Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay, Owen, and Vigo.

* Through Saturday morning

* Heavy rain from multiple rounds of thunderstorms is expected over southwestern parts of central Indiana this evening and overnight. Given the saturated ground and already high rivers and streams, rainfall amounts of one to over two inches could prompt flash flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: KNOX ... SULLIVAN ... JACKSON ... MONROE ... MARTIN ... CLAY ... BROWN ... GREENE ... DAVIESS ... LAWRENCE ... OWEN ... VIGO

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
