This is a message from the Matawan Police Department and the Office of Emergency Management:

On Saturday, June 22nd, in celebration of Washington Engine Company's 150th Anniversary, there will be a parade on Main Street.  The parade will begin at St. Clement Church and conclude at at the intersection of Main and High Streets.  The entire length of Main Street, which includes State Hwy. 79, Freneau Ave and Downtown Main Street will be closed.  The parade steps off at 12:00 pm.  Main Street and its intersecting streets will be closed from approximately 11:30 am until the conclusion of the event.
To minimize your inconvenience, please plan an alternate route.
