The latest phase of the Englewood Roads Complete Streets project will close North Summit Road for about three weeks, starting next week.

The roadway, directly west of Interstate 29 on Englewood Road, will close to through traffic starting June 24. This closure, which is anticipated to last three weeks, will allow Public Works crews to excavate the existing North Summit Road and build a tie-in to a newly aligned portion of North Summit.

The Englewood Road Complete Streets project will upgrade Englewood Road from US 169 to Waukomis Drive. The $15 million project, which is scheduled for completion in 2020, will expand the existing two lane unimproved roadway to a three lane roadway with new curbs and gutters, a ten-foot trail and numerous other enhancements.

Changeable message boards have been installed to alert drivers of the closer. Detour signs have also been placed to channel drivers on Northwest 60^th Street west to Northwest 68^th Street.
