Wilmington Police have arrested a 23-year-old man on robbery and aggravated menacing charges related to two separate incidents in the same evening.
 
On June 13 at approximately 9:16 p.m., police were called to the area of 10th and King Streets in reference to a robbery complaint. Police learned that a man had been approached by two suspects, one of whom struck him and robbed him of his wallet and backpack before fleeing the area.
 
As officers continued to investigate that incident, they received another call at the same location at approximately 11:40 p.m. in reference to a fight. Arriving units located 23-year-old Zachary Thomas, who was threatening to stab two individuals. Thomas was immediately taken into custody without incident, and officers found in his possession a three-inch pocket knife. Thomas was also in possession of the items stolen from the victim in the robbery that had occurred earlier in the evening.
 
Thomas has been charged, in connection with both incidents, with the following offenses:
 

• Robbery (Second Degree)
• Offensive Touching
• Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony (Two Counts)
• Aggravated Menacing (Two Counts)
