Deputy Aaron Vallini of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged Joseph Cordie Moore Jr., 54, address listed as Wheeler Drive in Nebo, with fleeing to elude arrest, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
                At 4:33 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, Vallini was on patrol on Harmony Grove Road in Nebo and attempted to stop a motorcycle for traffic violations. The driver, later identified as Moore, sped up, leading the deputy on a pursuit to U.S. 70 East and Sherwood Forest Drive, where he then wrecked. Moore fled on foot but was quickly apprehended by Vallini.
                A search of the suspect turned up 2 grams of methamphetamine and some drug paraphernalia.
