Over the last 2 days, the Pomona Police Department conducted undercover prostitution operations along the Holt Ave. corridor in the City of Pomona. The operations were supported by members of the Azusa Police Department and California Highway Patrol- Baldwin Park.
Pomona police officers arrested more than 15 persons and charged them with 647(b) PC – Prostitution or 653.22(a) PC – Loitering for Prostitution.
Officers working in an undercover capacity made contact with would be “Johns” and prostitutes along Holt Ave. Once the contact was initiated, officers were able to negotiate various sexual acts in exchange for money. When the deal was complete, the suspects were contacted by uniformed officers and arrested.
The Pomona Police Department continues to take a proactive approach toward improving the quality of life for the residents of Pomona.
