Red Flag Warning until 09:00PM Thursday

Strong wind gusts up to 45 mph will combine with relative humidity values below 15% and dry fuels tomorrow afternoon. This will lead to critical fire weather conditions across the warned area tomorrow afternoon and early evening. The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Thursday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for the rapid ignition, growth, and spread of fires. Agricultural burning is strongly discouraged.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTHWEST COLORADO LOWER FORECAST AREA
