Critical fire weather conditions will be possible during the afternoon and early evening hours. The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.
* IMPACTS...Should these conditions develop, rapid rates of fire growth and spread are possible.
