All but one of the stores near Monday morning's incident will now be allowed to open for business.

Most Stores Near Nacho Drive to Open for Business

All but one of the local stores near Monday morning’s incident, at the intersection of Lohman Avenue and Nacho Drive, will be allowed to open for business after investigators cleared their respective parking lots.

The parking lots of Target, Albertson’s, Office Max, Starbucks, Village Inn, KFC and Wells Fargo Bank were closed shortly after the incident occurred so investigators could gather evidence and map the scene. Those business are now free to open to the public.

The only business that remains closed for the investigation is The Home Depot, at 225 N. Telshor Blvd. The Home Depot, it’s parking lot and a portion of Nacho Drive that runs in front of The Home Depot remain closed during the investigation.

The Las Cruces Police Department hopes to provide more information on the incident, including the name of the suspect, by late Monday afternoon.
