Flash Flood Watch until 10:00AM
The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* Portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri, including the following areas, in southeast Kansas, Bourbon, Cherokee, and Crawford. In Missouri, Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Polk, Stone, Vernon, Webster, and Wright.
* Until 10 AM CDT this morning

The air mass remains conducive for heavy rain, which may cause flash flooding where storms repeatedly move over the same areas. Rainfall between 1 to 3 inches is expected, with locally higher amounts, over portions of the area covered by the watch.
* Given the moist soil conditions from previous rains this month, rapid onset flash flooding will be likely.
* AFFECTED AREAS: NEWTON ... DALLAS ... BOURBON ... LACLEDE ... MCDONALD ... JASPER ... LAWRENCE ... VERNON ... CHRISTIAN ... WEBSTER ... CRAWFORD ... DADE ... WRIGHT ... BARRY ... BARTON ... STONE ... POLK ... CHEROKEE ... CEDAR ... GREENE
