The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northern Barber County in south central Kansas... Southeastern Pratt County in south central Kansas...
* Until 615 AM CDT.
* At 1218 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sawyer, Isabel, Lake City and Sun City.
* AFFECTED AREAS: BARBER, KS ... PRATT, KS
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
