Flash Flood Watch until 08:00AM Monday
The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio, including the following areas, in northern Indiana, Adams, Allen IN, Blackford, Cass IN, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Miami, Wabash, Wells, White, and Whitley. In northwest Ohio, Allen OH, Defiance, Henry, Paulding, Putnam, and Van Wert.
* From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Monday morning
* Widespread 2 to 4 inch rainfall totals are expected in the watch area. There is the potential for localized spots south of Route 24 to receive higher amounts to 6 inches. Recent wet ground will provide a large amount of this rainfall to runoff and cause flooding of streets, fields, lowland areas, and streams and creeks. There is the potential for flash flooding, especially in urban areas and in flood prone spots.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. Always take an alternate route if water is crossing the road. Turn around, don't drown. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
