* Until 700 PM MDT.
* At 559 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Bueyeros, or 15 miles northeast of Mosquero, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include... Bueyeros, Hayden and Rosebud. NM Highway 102 and 420 will be impacted.
* AFFECTED AREAS: QUAY, NM ... HARDING, NM ... UNION, NM
Instructions:
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lighting is one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Accumulations of hail on roads can create very slick and hazardous driving conditions.
