Flood Warning until 12:00PM Monday
Dolores River below Rico affecting Dolores and Montezuma Counties .Warm temperatures will increase snow melt runoff. The flows along the Dolores River and tributaries in the upper basin will increase to above bankfull today and cause minor flooding. The river will then reach flood stage on Friday. The National Weather Service in Grand Junction CO has issued a

* At 11:45 AM Thursday the stage was 4.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 5.8 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Impact...At 5.8 feet...Minor flooding is occurring along the Dolores River between the towns of Rico and Dolores. River banks are eroding and becoming unstable. Agricultural land near and along the Dolores River is flooding.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 5.9 feet on Jun 17 1995.
* AFFECTED AREAS: DOLORES, CO ... MONTEZUMA, CO
